Light, strong and precise: these are the characteristics required on our wheels. To get a good round shape together with the stiffness we decided to make the wheels out of Ergal 7075. Thanks to the collaboration of Comer Industries, the size of the circle and of the races has been carried out using FEM analysis, trying to minimize its elastic deformations.

The processing cycle has provided a first roughing milling on CNC machines, then the wheels were turned by a single outlet in order to obtain the best concentricity between the rim and hub bore. Finally the spoke finish milling was carried out and we earned the valve seat. All processes were performed at Evar workshop modelling.

After mounting the tire valve, balancing was performed in order to make the rotary motion of the wheel more uniform. The necessary equipment was provided by Lumia Motors.
